Meet Sunni

This pillow is named after Sunni, a young woman with Down syndrome, who loves dancing as part of the HipHop Homies (With Extra Chromies).
One thing Sunni would like the world to know is that people with Down syndrome can stand up for themselves. They are kind and loving. If Sunni could only do one thing every day, she would go to a wedding and catch the bouquet!
A favorite story of Sunni happened when she was younger, and her mom was trying to teach her not to hug strangers. They were at Target and the manager said “hi” to her and she reached out to hug him. Her mom reminded her to shake hands with people or to just wave, but not to hug strangers. Sunni looked at the man and asked his name, he told her, and she said, “Mom, this is Paul, Paul this is mom” and then she hugged him and told her mom he wasn’t a stranger.
